Half Board Yacht Charters
What is a Half Board yacht charter you ask? This is something just recently introduced in the Caribbean. Typically with a half board charter you will have a captain and chef just like a fully crewed charter. The difference is you will have dinners ashore and alcoholic breverages are additional. Please check the "rates and availability" link for rates. If the half board rate is not listed give us a call, 800-565-5984 or 615-776-7924, and we will get the rate for you.
HALF BOARD CATAMARANSCATALYST (Max 6 Guests)
Alan Roberts, Captain, host and some times chef has a background of over 20 years in the hospitality industry in Canada, where he has learned the fine art of cooking in some of the country´s finest restaurants. Alan has also spent many years bartending at some of the more entertaining establishments up north, and has brought the art of pouring and mixing drinks to a new level. Alan spent his first 2 years on Catalyst as chef and first mate, and is now ready to take over the role of Captain, but he still plans to lend his expertise in the galley, preparing some of his specialties along with his first mate. Alan´s love of the water started early, on family sailing vacations on Cape Cod and continued later, on the Canadian side of Lake Huron in the North Channel, where you can find some of the best fresh water sailing in the world. Alan´s passion of the Caribbean, and entertaining friends has brought him to Catalyst, where he can´t wait to fire up the blender and show you some of the most beautiful spots on the planet. Together, Alan and his First Mate will make sure you have a memorable trip -- relaxing and enjoying lazy days at an easy going island pace! Rates and availability. SCUBA information.

Doug was born in London Ontario and has worked in Michigan, U.S. for the last 10 years as a Sales Engineer. Doug has sailed in the BVI´s for the past 13 winters. Doug is an excellent captain, he is extremely patient and an enthusiastic teacher. Doug encourages both novice and seasoned sailors to participate in sailing "Chateau". Barb was born in Sarnia, Ontario and has spent the last 21 years working as an accountant. As accounting work was quite seasonal Barb was able to enjoy the benefits of living on Lake Huron. She has also raced in Lake Huron and visited the BVI´s on several occasions before making this her new home. Barb is a warm, bubbly hostess and excellent first mate to Captain Doug. Barb and Doug were recently married in Canada and moved to BVI´s to retire on "Chateau". Having both worked most of their lives they were concerned they might get bored sailing by themselves every day so they have decided to offer their home and themselves to the chartering business so they will be able to share their enthusiasm and passion for sailing with the rest of the world. PALM COASTER (Max 4 Guests)
Captain Peter Stevens hails from the northeast USA, New York, and has been sailing and boating from an early age. He has chartered in the Caribbean over 16 years but always felt a week or two at a time was never enough, but could not leave his dental practice for longer periods. After many years of sailing he obtained his United States Coast Guard Captains license. Wow! USCG Captains license, kids out of college, the right boat selected, everything changed... life in paradise! Peter has successfully put his training and experience from his past and present worlds into the perfect mix as your host and captain. Peter has a passion for sailing and life in the Caribbean. He enjoys hiking, sightseeing and exploring as well as music, reading, socializing and those mellow times. Peter does captain only charters as well as fully crewed. When doing a fully crewed charter the boat is better as a two pack. Rates and availability.
TACHYON (Max 6 Guests)
Captain Jason DeShay hails from Seaside Park, NJ, where he grew up on the Barnegat Bay sailing hobie cats and sunfish. He spent much of his adolescence on the water helping his father on their commercial fishing vessel. Looking to broaden his horizons, he traveled the continental US and Europe, exploring and experiencing new cultures. Soon after, he met his wife, Bernadette, and discovering they share the same passion for the sea, they found their dream boat, Rarebird, a 40ft. sailboat. They soon decided the cruising and live-aboard life style suited them well. Keeping in tune with his love of the ocean, Jay started a successful sport fishing charter business. Capt. Jay is also an accomplished diver and is excited to be able to dive the warm clear waters in the Caribbean. Jay will help you enjoy all that the USVI and BVI has to offer including sailing, diving, snorkeling and exploring the many islands of the area. Capt. Bernadette DeShay also hails from Seaside Park, NJ and grew up on the Jersey shore. She has always had a love for the ocean and now holds a U.S.C.G. Captain´s license. She has an A.A.S. in the baking and pastry arts from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI, and a B.S. in animal science and technology from the University of Rhode Island. After a career in the culinary world, that included working at the 1996 Olympics and for top resorts in the industry, she met and married Jay. Her passion started in the baking and pastry arts, but her diverse culinary experience lends itself to all palates. Her love for cuisine, the sea and of course Capt. Jay, make for a hostess that is passionate about making meals, memories and adventures that won´t be forgotten. Rates and availability. SCUBA information.
