Walter is a licensed captain and a certified mechanic. He always has a helping hand for other boaters, too! They call him, "Walter-will-fix-it". During a very cold and rainy summer in Europe in 1987, Walter went to the Dominican Republic for a dive vacation . He loved it and stayed to open one of the first European dive schools. He never stopped dreaming from the perfect Dive & Relax Vacation solution. In 1991 he went to France and bought the Belline ll. After customizing the Catamaran, he set sail through the Biscay to the Mediterranean sea where he cruised along the French coast, the Balearic Islands , Gibraltar and the Grand Canaries . From there Walter and his crew set sails for a cross Atlantic cruise. They had a wonderful quiet time across, and made landfall in the BVI´s 21 days later.Walter and his crew thought they where the next Columbus in Paradise when they found that the beer at Pusser's Landing on the dock was only a nickel! (What they didn't know was they had landed on a Thursday, when Pusser's Pub was celebrating a special "Nickel-Nite"). Walter is captain of Belline ll ever since and has entertained more than 3000 guests over the past 18 years! Many of which return year after year and have had the pleasure to be certified as PADI Open Water Divers or children who once attended an Bubble Maker and later returned to get fully certified. He is described in many guest letters with a laid back personality and a patience of a saint. Nothing brings him easily out of control and he seams to be ahead of it all at all times. Guests love to have conversations with Walter about the world and above.

Captain Matt grew up boating, waterskiing and fishing on the Mississippi River in northwestern Illinois. His father taught him to love and respect the water at an early age. He also inherited his love of travel from him.He first visited the Caribbean in 1989 and knew from that moment that the islands were very special. In the following years, while working as a diesel engine designer, he found himself spending all of his money on travel. So, he switched gears and worked in travel and tourism for the next decade. During that time, he realized that I enjoyed sharing the travel experience as much as the travel itself. In 2005 he and Melissa chartered a yacht in the BVI, and that was all it took. They instantly knew that we wanted to share the beauty of the Caribbean with as many people as possible. One year later we moved to the islands to start our career as charter yacht crew. Matt enjoys waterskiing, wakeboarding, snorkeling, and hiking the trails in the BVI. He also loves playing bartender and tour-guide to those looking for little adventure. I am the chef/first mate aboard Free Ingwe. Melissa hopes to show you a little bit of the beauty and grace of the Caribbean, while creating meals to keep you full and happy. She says "I´ve always had an "obsession" with food, be it eating or making it." So after she graduated from Indiana University with a degree she had little interest in pursuing, she enrolled in the Culinary and Hospitality Institute of Chicago. It was there that she was able to turn her obsession into a career. She enjoys cooking... just about everything! She has an appreciation for all cuisines, from her own Midwest roots of comfort food to International zest. It is her single greatest hope that she can provide meals that match the magic of your vacation. She also enjoys boating and water activities. As a PADI certified Divemaster, she can assist in showing you the gorgeous sights of the world underwater. Enjoy snorkeling, water skiing, or just lounging in the water with a cold beverage? Captain Peter holds both German and South African citizenship, and hasbeen sailing for nearly 30 years in Europe, the Mediterranean, Africa and the Caribbean. In the late 70´s Pete formed a salvage diving operation operating along the South African coast, and also built ski boats to order. Peter briefly ran fishing and pleasure charters and a Bed and Breakfast for tourists in Mozambique before his love of the sea prompted him to sail to the Caribbean and work as a charter captain. He is an RYA Yacht Master with Ocean endorsement and is a PADI Dive Master. He particularly enjoys sailing, fishing, diving and target shooting. Colleen also holds dual citizenship in Zimbabwe and South Africa. She worked in the travel industry for many years, and met Peter when he rented a car from her while she was employed by Avis. They have been a couple ever since and she has worked alongside Peter in all of his varied business ventures. She particularly enjoys decorating, cooking, entertaining and the outdoors, and has her open water diving certifications. Peter and Colleen are a delightful couple that come to King´s Ransome after operating Fantasy Island since 2006.
